Thought You Should Know

That I look AWFUL. My muffin top looks bigger and it shows in my shirts. I know, I know, GROSS. All of my shirts look like crap on me. WTF?!?

I'm embarrassed to been seen by people. It's gonna be a long 7 months.

Shower the People You Love With Love

A lot of my blog posts have titles taken from songs, right?

I want to say first that I have been overwhelmed by all the sweet congratulations and well wishes. Everything that you have said (written) has been cherished and appreciated. Thank you so so much.

I am 7w5d today and the past few days have been a little rough. I've been crampy and spotting and that makes me nervous and afraid. My doctor assures me that everything looks good and that all is well. I just have to have faith. Faith that the doctor knows what she is talking about, faith in myself that I can do this, faith in Baby and, of course, faith that God knows what He is doing.

Tomorrow is Gus' bridal shower and I'm very excited. She reads this blog so I am going to wait until later to tell you all about it but it's going to be really nice. Mom and I went to get her (their) present yesterday and that was fun. They didn't have any gift bags or people to wrap though and that is NOT fun. It's all good though.

Mom ordered some great food. I am doing the cake and some sweets. Our friend, B, is doing the decorations and some family and friends will do some dishes. We are just going to eat and talk and then she will open her gifts. I know that she is nervous to do that in front of a bunch of people but she will be fine! My brother is going to come with her to introduce her to some of the people that she doesn't know. I think that is sweet of him.

What kind of stuff do you do at bridal showers (I think everyone and every area is different)? Have you ever thrown one?

The MOST Gorgeous Pictures. Ever.

I'm having a baby! We are so thrilled. I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday morning and they did a sonogram. We saw Baby and Baby's heartbeat. The little blink-blink-blink of the heart was so amazing. Everything looks fabulous. I am 7w1d today and due on November 9th.
My next appointment is in 4 weeks. Blue and I (and our families) are really, really happy. I'm reading a lot of baby books, talking to other mothers, having lots of nausea at night and thinking about what Baby looks like. I seem to have a lot of symptoms, which is really good, according to doctor C, my OB. Some of them are not all that fun but I'm glad for them. This is what I have wanted for a long time.

Shoeaddict Asks

Do you have a good (easy) soup recipe? Or is there a soup that you buy that you love?
I bought some Campbell's Select Harvest chicken and egg noodle. It's pretty good. It needed some added seasonings but that is usual for me. I like it because it doesn't have a weird after taste. I also bought some of those soups in the box (I forgot who makes them) but I have not tried them yet. My mom says they are good. I have the corn one and maybe the tomato one.

Except Not "Girl"

Then
Brad Paisley

I remember, trying not to stare the night that I first met you.
You had me mesmerized.
And three weeks later in the front porch light, taking forty five minutes to kiss goodnight.
I hadn't told you yet, but I thought I loved you then.

Now you're my whole life, now you're my whole world.
And I just can't believe, the way I feel about you girl.
Like a river meets the sea, stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day.
And I thought I loved you then.

I remember taking you back to right where I first met you.
You were so surprised.
There were people around but I didn't care.
I got down on one knee right there.
And once again, I thought I loved you then.

Now you're my whole life, now you're my whole world.
And I just can't believe, the way I feel about you girl.
Like a river meets the sea, stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day.
And I thought I loved you then.

I can just see you, with a baby on the way.
I can just see you, when your hair is turning grey.
What I can't see is how I'm ever going to love you more.
But I've said that before.

Now you're my whole life, now you're my whole world.
And I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl.
We'll look back someday, at this moment that we're in and I'll look at you and say, "And I thought I loved you then."
And I thought I loved you then.

New Shoes and Target

I finally got my car back on Wednesday. I'm so happy to have her back. I need to go to Target so badly and so, today is the day. I love, love, love to shop for anything so I'm excited to go. The only thing that I don't like about going grocery shopping during the day is I have to carry all the bags inside myself.

I got two new pairs of shoes this week. They are awesome and I've worn one pair already. The problem I always have with shoes like this is that my ankle is so narrow. I need to poke another hole in the straps to make them tight enough.
Victoria Secret Colin Stuart t-strap
I got them in the silvery color on the right

Steve Madden Cerona
Green
This weekend is going to be spent doing chores and projects around the house. We need to clean out the outdoor room that is going to be the home of Blue's workout stuff. He has decided that he needs to get into shape so... I'm excited about it. Did I already tell you about that? Anyway, I've been on his butt for awhile about needing to eat better and exercise. Proud of him.
A week from Sunday is Gus' bridal shower. I'm so excited! I will get to see some family members that I have not seen in awhile and I always love that. The weekend after that (April 4th) is my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary party. I'm really excited about that, too. They have invited a lot of family and friends, we'll have music, food, cake, pictures. It'll be a lot like a wedding reception. I'm so proud that they have been married for so long and love each other so much. I'll write more about this later.
What are your weekend plans?

Pics To Go With RANT (see post below)

Should this take OVER a week?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

RANT

I am beyond angry. I brought my car in not last Friday but the Friday before to have it fixed. When I talked to the guy that afternoon, he told me that it would be ready on Wednesday or Thursday- at the latest!

Thursday, they told me it would be ready on Friday afternoon, that it just needed to be painted. Friday afternoon, they told me that it would be ready on Monday (today) morning because they got the wrong bumper. I called this morning and they told me it would be this afternoon, it was just waiting to be painted and she would call me at 1. At 3:00, when she still hadn't called me, I called her. She told me that it would be TOMORROW AFTERNOON!

I am LIVID- beyond LIVID. There was nothing majorly wrong with the car. I have pictures somewhere. I do not have a car and I am going crazy. How long is this going to go on? How long do I allow for it to go on? The manager (or someone) is calling me back. I just want my FREAKING car back.

Hair-Raising Topics

I've been wanting to talk about this subject here for awhile but was a little afraid. It's my true nature to be brutally honest, cross lines and talk about the un-talk-about-able, so it feels only natural to me. However, I understand that some of you don't know me as a crass person and may not like discussing these things.

Today, I thought, who cares?! It's my blog and we are gonna discuss it. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Pubic hair. What do you do about it? Have you ever had it waxed? Do you shave all the time?

I have talked here many times about my sensitive, sensitive skin. I am sensitive everywhere and so I hate doing anything that will anger the skin. I hate to shave-anywhere-but because I was also blessed with a lot of hair, I must. I shave my legs, arms and underarms regularly and have found some great products to help with the pain and itching. I have never found anything that I love for the shaving/removing of the hair o'de vagina.

I have this and it's ok. I have never used it in the shower though. I think that maybe I'd like it more in the shower but I am afraid of that. I might just have to go for it. I love the ingrown hair pads though. I don't know where to get them by themselves.

I also use the Intuition on my other body parts. I love it despite all the bad things that other people say about it. It is easy to use and fits on my wall by the tub so it's great for me. I use that sometimes for the sides of the vag but I'm afraid of cuts and itching. My mama used to tell me not to shave off something I might need. I'm not skinny so I have that to deal with, too. My fat gets in the way sometimes.

I don't want to have a bush but I don't want to look like a two year old. I don't really know WHAT to do with it. Does it need a 'do? I've seen porn. I know what those look like but I don't know how to get the "look". My skin is just not like that and neither is my belly. What is normal?

Also, I HATE cleaning hairs out of the tub. It seems really hard for me. I just got some bathroom wipes that I have not tried but I'm hoping they help. It seems like the hairs are just sticky and they multiply. Leg hairs, too. It's hard for me to get them all out of the tub.

Are you grossed out now? Are you going to comment? Don't be shy.

Baby Buzz

I left off last Baby Buzz at January 22. This is the babies from then until now. Oh! There are others but I usually just put the celebs that I know of or are interested in at the time. Or a really interesting baby name(s). I'd love to include you and your baby (or someone you know) just email me!

January 26- Good Charlotte guitarist, Billy Martin, and wife, Linzi, welcome their first child. Their son, DREAVYN KINGSLEE MARTIN, was born in Pasadena, California.

February 5- Justin Trudeau, the son of former Canadian Prime Minister, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, and his wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, welcomed their second child. Daughter ELLA-GRACE MARGARET TRUDEAU weighed 6lbs 13ozs. She was welcomed home by her big brother, Xavier James, 15 months. This is what I love, she was named after her paternal grandmother and great-grandmother- Margaret Trudeau Kemper and Grace Elliot.

February 5- Former George Lopez star, Constance Marie, and her finace, Kirk Katich, welcomed their first child, a daughter. LUNA MARIE KATICH was born in Santa Monica, CA and weighed 8lbs., 13oz.

February 8- Tiger Woods and wife, Elin, welcomed their second child. Their son, CHARLIE AXEL WOODS was welcomed home by big sister, Sam Alexis, 19 months. On the name, Tiger said, "We had a couple names and Charlie just fit. As for Axel , that's Elin's brother's name so we wanted to make sure it stayed in the family."

February 11- M.I.A., the lady-rapper who performed at the Grammy's on her due date (the 9th), gave birth to her first child. The baby boy's father is M.I.A.'s fiance, Ben Brewer Bronfmen. Last week, some gossip sites said that she named the baby, Ickett. She went on her MySpace page to deny it. She did not say what the name is though.

February 12- Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine, welcomed a baby boy. HAYES LOGAN COSTNER weighed in at 8lbs. 15oz and joins Kevin and Christine's son, Caden Wyatt, 21 months. Kevin has older children Annie, 24, Lily, 22, Joe, 20, and Liam, 12, from a previous relationships. Kevin says that he named the baby Hayes after a character he is playing in a Western soon. He said he believes that Hayes is a "great Western name." I disagree, I think it sounds super preppy.

February 18- Donald Trump, Jr and his wife, Vanessa, welcomed their second child, a son. DONALD JOHN TRUMP III was born in NYC and weighed 8lbs., 11oz, and was 21.5 inches long. Donald's big sister, Kai Madison, is 21 months old.

February 23- "Nobody's Supposed to be Here" singer, Deborah Cox and husband, Lascelles Stevens welcomed a daughter. KAILA MICHELLE STEVENS was born in Miami, FL and weighed 7lbs., 7oz and is 20.5 inches long. Kaila joins big brother, Isaiah, 5.5, and sister, Sumayah, 2.5.

What do you think of the names?
Dreavyn Kingslee- what is this? Made up and I don't like it at all. It sounds like, if anything, it's a girl name. A made up one.
Ella-Grace Margaret- I like this name. Margaret was my paternal grandmother's first name though she went by her middle name. I think Ella-Grace is pretty together. I like that they used family names. I believe in using a family name for at least one of the names of a child.
Luna Marie- It's not as bad as some celebrity names. I certainly wouldn't use it.
Charlie Axel- I like Charlie as a nickname for Charles. I think that it's good to have a formal name for options when you get older. Charlie is a good name. I don't love Axel but I love that it's a family name.
Hayes Logan- I really like this name. I mentioned above that I think it sounds preppy. That is not a bad thing to me. This is the type of name I love for boys, the last name as first name thing.
Donald John- My Papa that I talk about a lot is named Donald. I don't love the name. I don't love Jr's and IIIs and stuff but whatever.
Kaila Michelle- This looks like a pretty name. I am partial to "K" names for girls. Really, "K" is such a great initial! I don't know if I'm pronouncing this correctly. Is it Ky-lah? Or Kay-lah? I know a girl with the first pronunciation but it's spelled Kyla. I like that a lot.

P.S. My spell check went crazy on this post.

Perfect Day

This weekend was so much fun and productive. Mom and I went shopping all day long on Saturday. I talked awhile ago about needing to buy clothes for showers and weddings and parties this Spring. Well, I found three (or four?) dresses, a dressy capri pant in an awesome color with a jacket and some great tops and pants. I also bought a few pairs of shoes.

One dress that I bought but I don't know which even I'll wear it to:
I got a black shrug thing to wear with it. I love it so much. It'll be great for the beach this May. One of my favorite tops that I got is this one:
I wore it Sunday with new white linen pants to church and a bridal shower. I (maybe) should've saved it to wear for another event. I don't know. I love it though.

I still need some more shoes. I want some colorful, spring shoes to wear with a black dress that I have. I wanted hot pink or grass green. I'll get a matching bag (I have a grass green bag but that one is not the right bag) and some cute colorful jewelry. Where do you go to buy cute jewelry? Just wondering.

I also got a big mirror for over my mantle and two prints for the bedroom at Kirkland's. I have not hung any of it up yet but when I do, I will show you some pictures. I'm excited to finally get some decorations for the house. I know what I like but I'm not good at picking stuff and putting it in place. Things are kind of bare right now.

We had a nice day and then we met FSIL for supper. It was a perfect kind of day.

On My Mind

I have not felt well all day. I probably just needed to rest. I have not been sleeping through the night. I wake up between 1-3 a.m. every night. I usually take a bath and read. (I started Prep and it's good. Get it!) Then, I fall back asleep. It's wearing on me so today, I just hung out at home.

Well, and I don't have a car. I had to bring it to the shop early this morning. I am stupid, stupid, stupid. I backed it into Blue's big, tall, giant truck that was parked behind me (at an angle). Blue's truck is fine- my bumper scratched his UGA sticker. The left side of my bumper and tail light is all broken and busted. He was not happy with me at all. I felt/feel so bad about it.

I've gotten back into writing in my journal. It's funny because I sometimes forget that I'm not writing for other people to see there. I've called Blue, Blue, a few times. That is not his real name, of course. I guess I'm used to writing for you. I shouldn't do that all the time, though. Not even here. Sometimes I feel like I'm not truly authentic here. I don't do enough of just writing about whatever I am thinking and feeling.

I am thinking a lot about the different roles we all play. The roles we play in our lives, in the lives of others, in our families. Does the true role that you play fit with who you feel that you are or who you wanted to be? What about the ways that we are all different? What is happiness and important to me may not be the same for all people. That doesn't make it wrong. I also think (a lot) about how much my idea of happiness and success have changed from when I was younger. Even from a few years ago. A lot of that comes from learning about other people, what they do, what makes them happy and relating to that. When you grow up in a small town surrounded by a lot of people who are the same as you, you may not get to see other ways of living.

It's my goal to be more aware of who I truly am and how I truly feel. Me. Not what other people do or say or think or want for me. I want to be true to myself and my own beliefs. I admit that sometimes, I don't know how I feel about a subject or situation. Those are the times that make me feel vulnerable and easily lead. I am not good at being a follower most of the time. I want to be armed with knowledge and understanding.

To Be Continued...

Revisiting- Books!

I have not discussed this in so long! BOOKS!!

When we moved, I got a little bit out of reading SO much. I used to have a "thing" with reading and smoking in our bathroom at the old house. I stopped smoking and moved and so, I don't know. It sounds weird but reading was kind of "wrapped up" with smoking for me.

I've recently gotten back into the groove of reading and I am so glad. I started reading Rhett Butler's People and I didn't get very far. I will pick it up again later. I am a HUGE, HUGE Gone with the Wind (link to book and movie)fan. HUGE. I don't know if this book is going to piss me off or add to my love for Rhett and Scarlet. I'll get back to it when I'm finished with the others that I have.

The last book I read (all the way through) is This Charming Man by Marian Keys. I love her and have read all of her books (I think). This one is very good but took me awhile to get into. It's told in different women's perspectives and one girl is writing in her journal. She writes in a kind of "shorthand" I guess you could say and it's annoying. It was very long which I like in a book- if it's good. If you read it, let me know.

The book that I am reading right now is Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. I have also read all of her books and really, really love them all. This book is a sequel to her hit book Good in Bed. That book ended with the main character, Cannie Shapiro, having a baby girl, Joy. This book takes place when Joy is 13 and changing in her own life. It's told in both Joy and Cannie's voices. I like it a lot and recommend all of Jennifer Weiner's books.

I also have these books waiting:

What are you reading? What have you read lately?

Got Me On My Knees

Layla Jewel is a bad, bad doggie. I know that it is my fault that she is so untrained, undisciplined and wild. I don't really know what to do with her sometimes. I love her, she is so cute and if those two things weren't true- she'd be in (even bigger) trouble.

Her newest thing- the last couple of days- is barking at night. She stays by my bedroom and barks. Then she adds a little howl in for good measure. Did I mention that this is at 2 am (last night)? Tonight she is doing it at 10 pm. I was supposed to start putting her in her kennel in the outside room but it's too cold right now. She currently has the run of the house at night. It's not good, I know. She usually crawls up into one of our chairs and sleeps though.

I don't know what her problem is and how to fix it. Some people have suggested that we put a shock collar on her and I just don't wanna do that. I don't know if I could even train her now. I know there are classes at PetSmart but is she too old? She is four-years-old.

She still does puppy stuff- chewing, barking, nipping. My dad said that female dogs do better if they have one litter of puppies. After that one litter they are usually more "grown up", just like people. She got very sick after we first got her and had to have surgery. The vet just spayed her when she was having that surgery. It was easier for her. Poor Layla, she was unable to have babies. Maybe she is bitter?

I also think that she would like for us to (1) get a fence so she can play more outside and (2) get her a friend doggie. Our next dog will be a larger one that lives outside so we are waiting to get a fence. Blue wants to get a Siberian Husky but I am against that. I want a yellow or black lab, a bulldog, a Corgi or something like that. And we are getting a male one this time.
